, /, May 11, 2018 – A group of thalassemia patients, gathered to protest in front of the Iranian Ministry of Health, against the discontinuation of their highly critical and vital Desferal (Deferoxamine) medication.

We want our rights, we want our medicine, that's all.

The angry patients shouted the fact that this medicine is not sanctioned, and asked why its import has been discontinued? One of the banners held by the protesters read: "I want to stay alive."
