Students congregated on Tuesday Dec. 17th in front of the university presidential compound to demand the resignation of the university president. They were angry of the crackdown on the students.
Tuesday’s protest came after another demonstration on Sunday, where the students demanded the lifting of ban on the student publications.

Tehran Science and Industry University
Students gathered jubilantly on Tuesday to celebrate the departure of Jabalameli, the university president after the news of his resignations was made public. The students were angry of his role in a wide spread crackdown on any dissent.

Tehran Polytechnic University
Students took part in a demonstration to protest the continuous crackdown of the students as an envoy from the ministry of Science was visiting the campus. They were chanting slogans demanding the resignation of the university president. Hinting the president, they shouted “Rahaie, must resign” and “free press is our rights.”
