Political prisoners of two prisons staged hunger strike and clashed with anti-riot guards

Political prisoners of Ardabil and Orumiyeh prisons in northwestern Iran staged hunger strike and clashed with anti-riot guards of the prisons.

These strikes were staged in protest to the regime’s court verdicts against prisoners, continuation of brutal tortures and the awful condition of the prisons.
According to the reports from Oroumiyeh Prison, anti-riot guards attacked the striking prisoners and transferred a number of them to the city of Oroumiyeh to take under further torture and harassment. According to the report, some of the prisoners are in critical condition.
