INTV, 10 Nov 2013 – Political prisoners in the Saghez Central Prison in Iran’s Kurdistan Province launched a hunger strike on November 5th protesting the recent execution of Shirku Mo’arefi.
Shirku was transferred to solitary confinement on November 4th and then executed the next morning. It has been reported that Shirku Mo’arefi had asked for a pen and a paper before his execution, and this simple request was denied by the Saghez intelligence department chief.
