Political Prisoners across Iran go on Hunger strike

The political prisoners across Iran, in a harmonic protesting move, went on hunger strike on 10 October in protest to the wave of executions and suppression by the brutal mullahs’ regime. This hunger strike will be going on for 3 days.

The statement issued by a number of political prisoners in Evin, Gowhardasht, Urumieh central prison, Birjand central prison, Dizel Abad prison in Kermanshah, and prisons in Bandar Abbas, Ardabil and Ahvaz partly reads:

” On the eve of ’Universal Day against execution’, this ominous and anti-human phenomenon, the human beings are slain in a frenzied manner; agonizing scenes that are created almost every day in different parts of our country by collective executions that sometimes reaches up to 30 executions in one day. During current year, such painful scenes have even been shown on TV deliberately so the very young kids be witness to the agony of these victims.

The prisoners across the country asked for their demands as the “demands of the great Iranian nation” which included:

1. Ending collective public executions in general passages, and abolition of death penalty for ever.
2. Ending physical and psychological tortures and organized attacks against political prisoners across the country.
3. We support the just rights of all workers, especially the workers of Haft- Tappeh suger cane factory.
We ask for termination of suppression and arrests against student, worker, human rights and women activists as well as all Iranian citizens carried out by the isolated regime of the mullahs.
