Political prisoner Arjang Davoudi, held in exile in Bandar Abbas Prison located on Iran’s southern shores, sent a message commemorating Students Day and said, “During the past 59 years the country’s students movement has experienced many ups and downs, and in line with its anti-dictatorship prophecy, it also went through much hardship after the 1979 revolution. Tehran University was the scene of an uprising of this country’s youth on July 9th, 1999.”
