On February 21, the Social headquarter of People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) issued a statement calling on the youth to turn the national fire festival of last Wednesday eve into a massive protest against the regime.
The statement did not say that the regime will fall in this campaign, but the clerical regime was so terrified that it felt the message of this call was to overthrow the regime in this campaign. The sense of horror could be seen in every speech, statement or remarks of all the officials of the regime and their media, but above all, it was evident in the Supreme leader Khamenei’s speech. In his speech on March 8, 2018, he said:
“Just a few months ago, they were sitting in the think room, discussing, trying, planning for the Islamic republic, setting the time. January, February, March, the same months that we are in. – We will do this in January, we will do this in February, we will do that in March, and we will finish the Islamic Republic by the end of the year”
Khamenei was so afraid that he did not even mention the name of the enemy, but on his January speech he bluntly named the enemy and said “They were ready since months ago; the media of the Monafeqin (PMOI) confessed it; they announced the call…They were ready since months ago; the Monafeqin’s media admitted…Since a few months ago, they (were ready) to organize and go to meet this person and that one, and to select some people inside the country to help them to come and call on the people.”
Even though Khamenei did not explicitly talk about the fire feast in his speech on March 8, but the day after his speech, Sadeighi his Friday prayer mullah in Tehran repeated his words and said: “in regards to the issue of fire feast, although our Islam never confronted the national traditions, but it changed the threats to chances, the enemy is threatening us, they generated that chaos in January, for February they had plans and for March they have other plans…”
The call of the Social headquarter of PMOI did not say that in the Fire feast campaign the regime will fall, but fear of regime from the PMOI and the tactics of internal network of Social headquarter of PMOI is such that the Supreme leader himself is so afraid that he has asked all the Friday prayer mullahs to talk about this issue, and also they have mobilized all the IRGC, and paramilitary Bassije forces to be alert and vigilant for the events of that day.
Wasn’t this reaction by the Supreme leader and other officials of the regime a clear sign of their deep vulnerability, and unstable situation? And wasn’t it also a sign of clear and victorious strategy of internal network of the PMOI inside Iran?
