In the town of Mahmoud Abad in Mazandaran Province, f northern Iran the family of an inmate that the Iranian regime intended to hang in public attacked the guards and prevented the execution of their loved one. This protest rally took place on Monday, September 1st.
Khabar Online website, belonging to Iran parliament speaker Ali Larijani, wrote, “This execution service was to be held in a square of this town where 3,000 people were present. Loud noise, chaos and a physical dispute resulting from an attack staged against the security fence led to the cancellation of the hanging.”
According to this report this execution has been postponed.
