Over 1,000 tire factory workers staged strike outside Ahmadinejad’s office demanding 7-months unpaid salary

More than 1000 workers of ‘Kian Tire -Tehran’s Alborz Tire’ factory gathered before Ahmadinejad’s office in Tehran and chanted anti-government slogans; the workers were protesting against the government for its policies against workers.

Kian Tire Company workers haven’t received their salaries and premium for the last 7 months and live under very hard livelihood.

The workers carried banners which read: “Workers of Alborz Tire Company have not received salaries for last 7 months”, “Is there anybody to help us?”, “7000 families of Kian Tire workers live in bad livelihood condition”.

According to received reports, the suppressive State Security Force (SSF) agents attacked the workers to disperse them, but the workers resisted their brutal attack.

The workers said they would continue their strike until their demands were met.
