IRAN, Apr 23, 2018— On Sunday, April 22nd, official staff of the oil industry gathered in front of the main building of the Ministry of Petroleum in Tehran, Iran to protest against the non-implementation of the law on subsistence, Article 10, the adjustment of educational qualifications, health care, and retirement age.
The oil industry official staff protest was carried out while security forces gathered the banners and posters of the protesters and tried to disperse them by force and pressure but failed to do so and the protest rally continued.
Oil industry workers, despite being severely threatened several days ago, today held their own protest rally and defended their demands against the response of the security forces.
The agents have urged the protesters to go to the Ministry of Petroleum building’s mosque to negotiate with Zanganeh, the Petroleum Minister, but the protester did not accept the suggestion and emphasized on the fulfillment of their demands.
During the gathering, the protesting workers, while making a written appeal to the minister of petroleum, insisted on their rightful demands.
