Istanbul – Leaders of countries belonging to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) yesterday began arriving to Istanbul, Turkey to participate in the activities of the 13th OIC summit.
 King Salman bin Abdulaziz yesterday arrived to Istanbul after leaving Ankara to lead the Saudi delegation attending the summit.
Meanwhile, foreign ministers of OIC member countries yesterday completed all preparations on the program laid out for the summit, which is headlining “Unity and Solidarity for Justice and Peace” and will be conducted over the course of two days.
OIC foreign ministers have tabled topics that are disputed and have filed them to summit leaders. Some of the topics addressed Iranian intrusion meddling into Arab internal affairs and the subject of naming the Lebanon-based Hezbollah a terrorist organization.
OIC Secretary General Iyad Madani said that the 13th summit will witness the greatest and most exceptional participation in the history of its establishment, emphasizing the large contribution with 30 leaders attending.
Twelve issues have been listed for discussion by leaders of the Muslim world at the meeting which launches its activities today.
Madani explained that the preparatory meeting dealt with peace and security issues, the Palestinian cause, fighting extremism, corruption and terrorism. Investment, science, technology, climate change and Islamophobia were also among the topics prepared for summit discussion.
