Iran, Syria and Iraq this august signed the world’s largest agreement to transit and export gas via the so-called pipeline “The Islamic Gas Pipeline”.
The Mehr news agency (affiliated to the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence) reported oil ministers from Iran and Syria held a meeting on Friday, September 9th discussing the latest developments regarding gas pricing, an increase of oil exports and pervious agreements.
Prior to this, Syria requested to purchase 3 to 5 million cubic meters of natural gas from Iran via Turkey. However, a final agreement has yet to be reached.
