Currently, most of the battles scenes across Syria are commanded by Iranian officers, and many of them have been killed in recent clashes. Additionally, the Iranian regime provides the most financial and logistical support for the Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.
Iran has announced time and again that continuing the war in Syria in this regime’s interest and it must continue by any means possible. In some cases it is even said that participating in this war is more important than taking part in the Iran-Iraq War back in the 1980s.
The Iranian regime is not recruiting forces to dispatch to Syria from various provinces, in fact it is attracting troops from different countries, in a way that other than Iran thousands are being rushed form 7 other countries including Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan to support Bashar Assad.
