Head of the Iranian regime’s Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission officially recognized the issue of drug addiction in Iran under the mullah’s rule as a national dilemma.
“The casualties of drug addicts today are higher than those during the Iran-Iraq war,” the state-run ILNA news agency quoted Ala’edin Borujerdi as saying. “In a somewhat optimistic data report, there are over 2 million addicts in the country and the negative consequences of this issue for the society are higher than that of the Iran-Iraq war. One cannot even come to compare these two issues.”
