18 days after the deadly twin quakes that shocked Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province, the mullahs’ Red Crescent said there is a shortage of warming supplies for the grieving earthquake survivors. In the utmost obscenity, this body called on ordinary Iranians to provide for the needy.
“Considering the cold weather in the earthquake hit areas of East Azerbaijan, there is an urgent need for electric heaters,” the mullahs’ Red Crescent chief said. “People can send heaters to the earthquake survivors by delivering them to Red Crescent stations in their provinces.”
Majlis (parliament) member from the cities of Ahar and Haris (in the earthquake hit areas) said in similar remarks, “Providing heating appliances is of the top priorities of non-cash assistance to the earthquake survivors.”
