Tensions among the Iranian regime’s factions are continuously on the rise regarding revelations of the $3 billion embezzlement case. Mullah Eje’I, the Iranian regime’s public prosecutor – leading the investigations on this theft –targeted Ahmadinejad’s inner circle by announcing the heads of the Iranian regime’s Central Bank, Bank Meli and Bank Saderat as embezzlers involved in this issue. He went further by demanding their arrest and punishment.
“This corruption that has taken place is a huge case of fraud,” he said, “and of course, it should be handled to in a proper manner. This cannot be simply compared to other ordinary cases.”
