Based on reports from the city of Ardebil (NW Iran), the Iranian regime has resorted to serious security measures in this city over concerns of popular protests. Streets leading to “Shariati” and “Chahar Rah” avenues have been blocked by State Security Force’s Anti-Rio units. All mobile telephone lines have been cut-off and anti-riot agents have forced all stores in these streets to remain closed due to fear of demonstrations taking shape.
