On Friday October 5th, a conference was held in Paris against the rampant executions in Iran titled as “Mullahs’ Iran, Land of Death”. In this conference, a number of members of French National Parliament, jurists, personalities defending human rights, and a number of members of National Council of Resistance took part and severely condemned the suppressive policies of the mullahs’ regime, especially the increase of street executions.
Gilles Paruelle, former head of Bar Association in Val d’Oise, chaired this conference. Other prominent figures included Mrs. Anissa Boumediene, jurist and the wife of late Algerian president, Jean-Pierre Berart, member of French parliament and the Mayor of Montroy, Mgr. Jacques Gaillot, prominent French clergy, Patrick Baudouin, attorney and the honorary president of International Human Rights Federation, Dr. Saleh Rajavi, representative of the National Council of Resistance in France, Mohammad Reza Orhani, jurist and the chairman of the Nationalities’ Affairs in NCRI, a delegation of Amnesty International in Paris, and a delegation of the Movement against Racism and Friendship of Nations (MRAP).
Gilles Paruelle called the increase of executions and anti-human punishments by the mullahs regime as “intolerable and unbelievable”. He added that the media reflect much less than what is happening in reality. Apprehensions, executions, stonings, and amputations of body organs; you cannot find like these anywhere else.
Then, a footage of recent executions in Iran was shown that impressed the audience gravely.
Jean-Pierre Berart said: the international community has recognized the right to resistance. This resistance is legitimate and has been announced in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which was approved on in 10 December, 1947. We should find the ways to support the Iranian resistance and improve it, and not put it in the terror list… we should expand to support of Iranian resistance in the French parliament and encourage the resistance inside Iran. The Iranian resistance and the PMOI have the capability to end this regime. The Iranian people have decided to stand up and resist.
Jean-Pierre Berart read the final declaration of the conference against the increasing executions in Iran. Part of This declaration which was signed by personalities, jurists and members of the Parliament addressing the United Nations Human rights Commissioner reads:
We ask the international committee to present a resolution in the current session of the U.N. General Assembly for explicitly and overwhelmingly condemnation of the violation of the most primary rights of the Iranian people by the mullahs, regime, and to take immediate measures to stop the recent wave of executions in Iran.
