The mullahs’ deputy foreign minister Hassan Ghashghavi expressed the regime’s fear of Bashar Assad’s imminent overthrow.
“The Middle East is the region of our influence. The subject of Syria is one hundred percent related to our soil and territory because Damascus is our strategic ally in national security,” he said.
