Mottaki protests his dismissal

According to the state-run Jahan News Agency, the Iranian regime’s sacked Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki issued a declaration protesting the method of his dismissal, describing it as against political and diplomatic customs and also insulting.
In response to remarks made by Ahmadinejad while in Turkey, Mottaki denied any previous knowledge of his dismissal and wrote:
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs learns of his own dismissal from Senegal officials whom he was meeting on Monday!”
During his press conference in Istanbul, Ahmadinejad responded once again in a scorning tone to a question regarding the reason behind sacking Mottaki while on assignment: “The office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs is either in an airplane, on the road or on a trip. I don’t believe this is a problem and you shouldn’t take this issue seriously because it will not lead to anything.”
