Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, Intelligence Ministry representative in the Death Commission responsible for the execution of 30,000 political prisoners, Deputy Intelligence Minister

Charges related to the massacre of political prisoners in Iran in 1988
  1. Pour-Mohammadi was among the perpetrators of the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988.
  2. As the Intelligence Ministry representative, Pour-Mohammadi took part in the meetings of the Death Commission that was tasked with carrying out Khomeini’s fatwa to massacre 30,000 political prisoners during a short period of just a few months.

Other charges
  1. Pour-Mohammadi was a key figure directing the “chain political murders” in the 1990s, in which at least 120 dissidents, writers and intellectuals were abducted and brutally murdered.
  2. He was specifically responsible in masterminding the brutal murder of an Iranian couple, Daryush and Parvaneh Forouhar. His voice was recorded by the rival faction within the Intelligence Ministry wiretapping the Forouhars’ telephone; the executioners were calling him from the victims’ residence to report the success of the terror operation.
