More than 1000 inmates awaiting execution in Gohardasht Prison

The Iranian regime has put widespread executions of inmates convicted to execution in Gohardasht Prison on its agenda, state-run Asr-e- Iran reported.
The reports indicate that more than 1000 prisoners in Gohardasht Prison are on death row.
A delegation of judicial branch’s henchmen headed by Najafabadi, deputy of Tehran’s prosecutor Jaffari Dowlatabadi, has stationed in Gohardasht Prison since a few weeks ago and is compelling the inmates convicted to execution to fill out forms aimed at expediting implementing the executions.
Simultaneously, these agents have summoned a number of complainants of the inmates and pressured them to ask for the execution of the inmates, the report says.
These agents have told the complainants to either pay the expenses of the inmates or ask for their execution.
Since the expenses of keeping a prisoner are high and the complainants cannot afford it, they will be pressured to submit to regime’s will and ask for the execution of the inmate.
