According to reports received from inside Iran on Sunday, May 25th, a number of metal retailers in Tehran’s Shad Abad Bazaar in Tehran went on strike protesting increasing taxes. The merchants refused to even open their stores.
A group of candy store owners in Tehran’s candy bazaar went on strike on Saturday, May 24th, also protesting tax extortions. They also held protest gatherings inside the bazaar.
