
NCRI – An explosion at a steel plant in central Iranian province of Yazd on Saturday caused huge damages to the facility but no human casualties were reported.
A furnace at Keyvan Ardakan Steel Plant, jointly owned by Iran and India exploded due to water leakage, state-run media reported.
The estimated financial loss stands at the plant the has a total of 144 workers including 33 Indians is over $100 million.
The plant produces metal bars from scrap metal.
Another explosion in the same plant claimed the life of one worker last year.
