There are major concerns regarding the physical conditions of political prisoner Gholamreza Khosravi detained in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison. Khosravi is among the inmates beaten during the vicious April 17th raid by authorities into Evin’s ward 350 and later sent to solitary confinement. Reports also indicate this inmate continues to be on hunger strike.
Khosravi’s wife wasn’t able to visit him despite the fact that she had gone to Evin’s visiting hall and waited until 3 pm. Khosravi was transferred to solitary confinement along with nine other political prisoners.
“He was hit in the face and his ear has serious problems right now and his glasses are broken. Also, due to the severe baton blows and kicks that he received various parts of his body, especially his chest, are seriously wounded,” a member of Khosravi’s family has said.
