Lebanon minister: Iran seeking to ignite sectarianism in Middle East

Lebanese Interior Minister Nahad Mashnuq once again strongly condemned Iran’s meddling in the region.
“Igniting sectarianism in the region, from Syria to Iraq due to meddling by sectarian militants linked to Tehran is a project pursued by this regime’s expansionist policy. This is something that Revolutionary Guards commanders have specifically admitted and they view it as a part of their so-called Shiite crescent plots,” he said.
“The people of the region will not accept such expansionist plots pursued by Tehran. Beirut, Damascus, Baghdad and Sana’a will prevail over such measures,” Mashnuq added.
