Leafleting in the Iranian capital

Iran Focus, Tehran, 26 October 2010 Oct. 26 – From the Grapevine…
An Iran Focus correspondent saw opposition activists quietly handing out leaflets in parts of Tehran urging residents to take part in anti-government protests on 7 December, Iran’s Students Day. In other parts of the capital slogans urging people to turn out for protests had been graffitied on the walls.
There were also calls for protests in December on the Islamic holy day of Ashura.
The leafleting and graffiti took place in Damavand and Golshandoust junction, Baharestan Park, Sablan metro station and Imam Ali and Golshandoust intersection in Tehran’s Vahidieh and Sabalan districts as well as in Haft-e Tir Square, Kheradmand Shomali and Vozara streets, Atlasi and Zafar intersection, Gisha, Tehran vila and Jamshidieh districts.
