The prominent French daily Le Monde published an article revealing Iran’s comprehensive meddling in Syria, adding the Islamic republic’s support is everywhere in Syria.
“Tehran’s weapons and men in Syria become more and more visible everyday as this regime is committed to support its ally. The word Damascus can be seen on the tombstone of a Revolutionary Guards member by the name of Mohammad Turk buried in Tehran’s Behesht Zahra cemetery. This picture reveals Iran’s assistance to its ally Syria,” Le Monde reported.
“Iran’s efforts have continued non-stop, including military forces and weapons through non-military flights with cooperation from Iraq, and despite Washington’s protests to this issue. A Western intelligence services report revealed Iran supporting Assad by dispatching hundreds of IRGC officers,” this French daily added.
“According to Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin of Iran, the Islamic republic’s support has increased and involves all aspects of this conflict, including protecting borders in order to prevent the entrance of forces and weapons, controlling and surveillance through the use of drones, protecting senior Syrian officials and technical assistance to artillery units. The PMOI revealed Brigadier General Hossein Hamedani is Iran’s main man in Damascus. This organization identified General Abedin Khorram among the 48 Iranians hostages,” Le Monde wrote.
