INTV, 4 Nov 2013 – Abdolfattah Soltani, lawyer of political prisoners in Iran detained in Evin Prison, has launched a hunger strike.
“My father has gone on hunger strike protesting prison conditions and the lack of medical supplies for the inmates,” said Maede Sultani, the daughter of this 60-year old political prisoner who has been detained in Evin Prison since around September 2011. He launched his hunger strike on Monday, and it is worth noting that Soltani was convicted to 13 years behind bars.
