The regime’s Majlis speaker Ali Larijani, while speaking at the Majlis, gave news about 220 thousand abortions in Iran and said: The 220 thousand abortions, of which half have been illegal, are dangerous and the Health Ministry must take it into consideration. This issue cannot be calculated with normal standards, it is a kind of manslaughter and against values of the society. Notwithstanding, the issue of population and policies related to it must be carefully and expertly reviews. In this regard a plan is being drafted in Majlis which needs to be completed. We hope that with the administration’s cooperation, it will turn into a comprehensive law. (Asr-e Iran News Agency – July 14, 2014)
