The Shazand oil refinery, known as the largest oil refinery producing Iran’s Euro-4 standard gasoline, is no longer in production due to an incident, the state-run Mehr news agency reported.
It is forecasted that with this oil refinery shutting down Iran will be forced to increase the volume of imported gasoline. This oil refinery has a capacity to produce 16 million liters of Euro-4 standard gasoline each day, and most certainly Iran’s gasoline imports will increase with the temporary shutdown of this massive oil refinery.
This oil refinery is one of the most important Euro-4 gasoline providers for major cities, especially Tehran, Karaj, Arak and even Qom.
