On Saturday, February 20th three series of protest rallies and strikes in the two cities of Ilam and Sanandaj in western Iran.

In Ilam a group of municipality workers protested not receiving their annual New Year bonuses. This rally was held in the city’s Jomhouri Boulevard rallied and made their demands.

In Sanandaj a group of contract municipality workers protested their checks being invalid. This rally was held in the so-called Imam Avenue.

A group of Farhangian Medical Center employees in Sanandaj protested their employment status not becoming permanent and being left in a limbo. The rally was held outside this center and the employees demanded their occupation status being clarified.
