Kobra Amir-Khizi, a mother of Camp Ashraf residents, is on the verge of blindness in prison

NCRI, 8 Oct 2011 – Due to prevention of medical care by the Iranian regime, Kobra Amir-Khizi, a political prisoner and a relative of Ashraf residents, is on the verge of losing her eyesight.
Kobra Amir-Khizi, arrested during the nationwide uprising on the charge of her sister and two children being in Ashraf, is imprisoned in Evin prison.
She has serious eye injury due to torture and pressure by the Iranian regime’s henchmen, and according to doctors she will lose her eye sight completely if she is not treated.
Despite this, the Iranian regime’s public prosecutor Jafari Dowlatabadi has ordered her not to be transferred to a hospital outside prison or to receive any medical care.
Kobra Amir-Khizi was arrested in January 2009 at an airport when she was leaving the legally country to visit her children in Ashraf.
She is suffering vision problems in prison and under torture from cable strikes to her head and face by the regime’s henchmen. Due to the lack and prevention of treatment, she is in danger of losing her eyesight.
