INTV, 18 Oct 2013 – On Wednesday, October 16th, the people of various cities of Khuzestan Province (southwest Iran) formed a human chain as a sign of protest and opposition to the regime’s plan to transfer water from Karoon River to the central parts of the province.
In this protest rally the residents of cities and towns of Ramehrmoz, Abadan, Khorramshahr, Masjed Soleiman, Dasht Azadegan and others took part.
It is worth noting that the mullahs’ regime intends to transfer water from Karoon River to areas in Isfahan and Central provinces in order to provide water for its nuclear and military plans. In this regard the regime has resorted to this pretext that the agriculture situation is in a crisis. This is while the transfer of water from one district to another is a plan that according to the regime’s own experts is very outdated.
