Khamenei expresses deep concerns over explosive social situation

In a speech in the south-central Iranian city of Shiraz, Khamenei expressed deep concerns over the explosive social situation throughout the country and revealed his regime’s instability and turbulent conditions.
Warning on internal rifts and divides before the upcoming sham elections, Khamenei reminded the nightmare of the overthrow of his regime in itsentirety through the unrelenting popular uprisings that erupt at any opportunity.
“In 1999 and 2009, with an interim of ten years, the plan was the same and both incidents attempted to disrupt the country’s stability and create havoc,” Khamenei said.
“They attempted to disrupt stability from the inside. I want to just mention it and not get into details. They attempted to deprive the nation of this general calm and stability,” he added.
“Those people who through their measures attempt to disrupt the country’s calm and stability. Of course, the country’s officials are aware. I insist to all the officials in the executive, legislative and judicial branches to be aware and careful so to not allow the enemy to disrupt this peace,” Khamenei continued.
“We have elections coming up in the next few months. Before and during the elections, all the officials’ efforts must be focused on maintaining the country’s political peace. They should not allow the country’s political atmosphere become turbulent and controversial. This is what the officials’ awareness should be able to accomplish,” he added.
“Our requests are mainly aimed at the officials, the politicians, to various managers, to be careful so that the enemy will not be able to disrupt the peace and stability. They haven’t been able so far and this should be maintained. Our officials shouldn’t allow conditions to become stormy. Sometimes one person expresses a miscalculated remark or carries out a miscalculated measure, and this causes shocks in the political atmosphere. Our officials should be careful…” he concluded.
