Following surging public unrest over the shortage of medical drugs in Iran, Khamenei attempted to place the blame on Ahmadinejad.
“Government officials must plan in a way and follow up on administration issues for people to remain calm about medical treatment,” Khamenei said at a gathering of regime officials.
While the shortage in medicine and the ransacking of the budget allocated for the purchase of medicine from abroad has placed patients throughout Iran – especially those suffering from difficult illnesses – with incurable problems and consequences, the regime’s senior officials are busy blaming each other. It is worth noting that the health minister was recently sacked as a result of similar disputes and infightings.
