Iran, April 7, 2018 – According to sources, dozens of residents of Isfahan, central Iran, demonstrated at the iconic Khajoo Bridge. The source says that security forces attacked the peaceful demonstrators and clashes erupted.
Video clips and reports from Isfahan shows that hundreds of people and farmers gathered at Khajoo Bridge since Saturday morning demonstrating against reduced water ration to their farms and in some cases a total cut of water to some farms.
The clashes started after suppressive State Security Forces (SSF) tried to disperse the resistive and steadfast crowd, which were chanting anti-regime slogans.
The protesters demand their lawful and legitimate share of farming water. They chanted a rhymed slogan in Farsi language “Today is the day of mourning, the life of farmers is up in the air” and “The Zayandeh Rood water is our legitimate right,” and other slogans.

Eyewitness report says that SSF brutally attacked the protesters and beat and injured a number of them. But the angry farmers and their families stood their ground and resisted the SSF attacks, despite injuries and beatings.
