Tokyo and Seoul, two major importers of Tehran’s oil and gas are on the verge of separating their paths and ending their reliability on the Iranian regime’s oil, Los Angeles Times reported. Following Washington’s call for oil sanctions against the mullahs’ regime, Japan’s top diplomat said his country is assessing methods of imposing such measures.
South Korean officials also announced their decision to decrease oil imports from the Iranian regime. Although decreasing oil imports from the Iranian regime in the current conditions is against Seoul’s economic interests, public opinion in this country is in favor of imposing this embargo, Los Angeles Times added.
