Isfahan’s Poly Acryl factory workers stage a protest

Hundreds of workers from Isfahan’s Poly Acryl Factory staged a protest for the numerous times in front of the municipality headquarters on Wednesday, December 28.
The gathering, which started at 9 am with more than 500 participants, was in protest against a 6-month delay in paying the workers’ salaries and benefits.
The last salary they had received belonged to the month of June, and they were not capable of handling their living costs under the existing situation, said the workers.
“The factory executive committee has not been able to resolve the problems that persist in this production facility, and the fate of 2000 workers continues to be unknown, while the production line is still nonoperational. But we will continue our protest until our situation is resolved”, one the workers participating in the rally said about the workers’ condition.
It is important to note that the workers of this factory had staged protests in November 19th, and December 25th in objection to non-payment of their salaries by the Iranian regime’s authorities.
