
Al-Seyassah, Riyadh, 20 Oct 2012 – Saudi officials announced 15 Iranians attempting to infiltrate into Saudi Arabia through the waters of the eastern shores have been arrested. News and information in this regard indicate they were Revolutionary Guards members and had plans to carry out subversive operations in the kingdom.
“Thanks to God, 14 Iranian s attempting to infiltrate into the al-Khafaji district through the eastern shores have been arrested,” said Captain Khalid Khalifa, press secretary of the Eastern Region Border Guard on Wednesday.
“The boat that brought these individuals was followed by border guards until it was apprehended, and it was made clear that it belonged to Iran. The individual inside the boat is also Iranian; therefore the total number of the apprehended individuals reached 15. Investigations are ongoing into this incident,” he added.
Despite no official announcement on the Iranian identity and objectives of these individuals, news from various website indicates “Saudi border guard forces neutralized a dangerous operation planned by the IRGC and their Saudi agents.”
“Sensitive spying and communications devices were also confiscated along with these Iranians. The Saudi border guard boats that had arrested these individuals continued their search and arrested their commander 50 miles away. He is also a member of Iran’s IRGC,” further information in this regard indicates.
