According to state-run Fars News Agency the Revolutionary Guards chief Ja’afari described recent crisis targeting the Iranian regime’s most senior hierarchy as a “plague for the system”.
“Many of these plagues have caused those who once supported the revolution to now even stand against it,” he said.
“The deviant current present now in the government’s private sector is seeking to gain members by offering money and … The presence of various viewpoints, cultural and political, amongst the President’s inner circle has caused various worries for those concerned about the revolution.”
