In another repressive measure by the so called ’moderate’ mullahs’ president in Iran with the aim of wide ranging government censorship, plain clothes agents of the ministry of culture raided a number of book stores in Tehran’s Enghelab Ave. on Thursday Nov. 20th and lock them up. The reason presented by the suppressive authorities was “having banned underground and western books” on their shelves.
The shop keepers protested and verbal clashes erupted between the store owners and the ministry agents.
