According to the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), October 4, 2008, a significant number of cabinet members and senior administrators during (Iran’s) former president [Khatami] used to administer in the government with fake diplomas for years.

Hawaii, as a branch of American Hawaii University, was founded in Iran without having any permission from Science and Technology Ministry.

Hawaii University issued a great number of fake and phony M.S. and PhD diplomas in Iran. Mullah Seyyed Mohammad Moussawi was the administrator of this bogus university.

A number of senior administrators in the previous government [of Khatami], being fully aware of illegal nature of Hawaii University, received fake diplomas from this university by paying 250 million Rials.
