The Iranian regime’s terrorist-designated Revolutionary Guards is gaining further control over Iran’s economy. One branch of the IRGC known as the Khatam al-Anbia Defense Headquarters (IRGC’s economic arm) is on the verge of winning a contract to build the largest LNG factory in Iran. The value of this gas contract is estimated at around $500 million. This is the third oil and gas industries contract that is awarded to this company since former senior IRGC member Rostam Qassemi became Ahamdinejad’s oil minister. Rostami was the head of Khatam al-Anbia before becoming the Iranian regime’s Minister of Oil.
Granting these contracts to the IRGC increases this repressive entity’s control over Iran’s economy more than ever before.
