According to recently published statistics, between 150 to 180 thousands educated and professional Iranians leave the country each year for better life outside Iran. Iran in 2009 became the number one country with brain drain among 91 developing an under developed countries in the world.
The World Bank writes in its latest assessment that ’with the current economic situation in Iran one should not wonder why more than 150,000 educated people immigrate to other countries for better life and job opportunities.
