Mohsen Rezaii, Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, admitted to the lethal currency crisis and said the currency status of the country is completely off course, the state-run Mehr news agency reported.
“Currency rates during the Rafsanjani and Khatami terms had seen 100% increases. However, in the two terms of Ahmadinejad, it is completely off course due to weak management,” Rezaii said.
“The economic and political confrontation that the West has initiated with Iran can bring us closer together or cause clashes between us, and this depends on management by both sides. Right now, our trade and economy is facing threats and problems,” he continued.
