Iran’s Bakhtiari community continues protests, angry youths attack police station

The people of Dezful on Saturday, February 15th, clashed with the regime’s repressive police


in the city’s Taleghani Avenue, protesting the mullahs’ insult against the Bakhtiari community.


The main focus of these clashes was in the Sabz Ghaba region, and hit & run attacks continued


in all areas of Dezful.
The regimes repressive police closed down the Shushtar Road in order to prevent people from


joining the rallies. Furthermore, security agents were stationed in large numbers on the


Andimeshk Road at the entrance to the city of Dezful. They inspected all passing vehicles.
Other reports from Dezful indicate in Saturday’s attacks protesters also attacked a police


station, breaking windows and setting its vehicles ablaze.
The mullahs’ regime has dispatched forces to this city and the repressive police are on high


alert, patrolling the city roads and avenues round the clock. They have closed all the entrances


and exits, keeping commuting under their control.
Demonstrators outside the regime’s governor office in Dezful broke the windows of


government vehicles. These clashes left many demonstrators injured while a number of


protesters were also arrested.
