In Iran news from prisons, a young Iranian woman reports of her father being in jail but having dreams.
“It has been over 7 months that my father has been on strike refusing medical treatment and going to a prison clinic or a hospital. Today after some time I was able to phone him. I couldn’t recognize his voice. He said it has been a few days that his blood sugar level has raised and his prostate illness has become worse. He has breathing disorders, intense vomiting and dizziness, which has made him unable to walk or eat. He said, ‘I want to stick to my promise to you and endure a bit more.’ But it appears his conditions are seriously deteriorating and this last month is ruining our dreams.”
