According to the state- run Khabar Online, Ahmad Tavakoli, Iranian Majlis Planning and Budget commission member disclosed that the regime’s treasury is empty.
Scoffing at Ahmadinejad’s remarks, Tavakoli added: This fund was founded to use oil revenue for machinery imports to help the development of production sector, industry and agriculture. We emptied the national treasury, now that we are empty handed, do not let this happens to national development fund so we regret it in the future.
Attacking Ahmadinejad’s band, Iraj Nadimi, another Majlis representative, said: currency issue is not an economic issue; rather it is a political war against the regime.
