Iranian teachers go on general strike regardless of the threats

A large number of teachers in different cities of Iran went on strike to protest against their improper living conditions and their dignity and security rights.  They refrained from going to the classrooms on Tuesday and Wednesday Jan. 20th and 21st.
According to the reports, regions No. 19, 18, 17, 14, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 2 of the capital city Tehran, and cities in the grater Tehran province including Robat-karim, Shahriar, Shahr-e Quds Malard, Varamin, and Pak-dasht, Rood-e hen, and Boumehen regions, and also other cities including; Isfahan, Gilan, Shiraz, Hamadan, Lorestan, Khorasan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Khuzestan (especially Khoram-shahr), Kurdistan, Azerbaijan, Yazd and Kirman and Simnan witnessed teachers’ protests.
More active cooperation and more serious support for strikes have been reported in the high schools and smaller cities and more deprived regions.
